Fallen Leaf Genealogy
Helping you discover your family’s unique story
and honor the legacy of your relatives who served.
Our current project
There are nine Virginia women WWII veterans who died while serving their country. While some of these women have summarized stories available online, many have little to no written information available about them at all. To honor their lives, service, and sacrifices, Fallen Leaf Genealogy is conducting in-depth research to share the most comprehensive stories possible, based on the existing records of: 2nd Lt Eva Ageon, Cpl Betty Driskill, 2nd Lt Nancy Hedges, 1st Lt Elnora Jones, 2nd Lt Joan Nourse, PFC Nan Porter, Cpl Maoma Ridings, ENS Elizabeth Seay, and Seaman Apprentice Ruth Stone.
Our research continues as we actively seek applicable research grants. If you would like to learn more about this effort or wish to help, please click the button below.
